Lawn Renovation

When planting grass seed, rake or verticut(power slice) the area before sowing the seed. This establishes as good seed bed. Sow seeds with a spreader (preferably) or by hand. Verticut or rake the soil lightly to cover seed with soil.. Spread Home & Garden Showplace Winterizer or Green Thumb Seed &Sod Starter (for New Lawns) or Home & Garden Showplace Lawn Fertilizer (Established lawns) after seeding. Prairie Hay or netting may be used to prevent soil from drying and/out or washing out. Water thoroughly and try to keep the soil continuously damp while seed is germinating. Never apply weed control until all of the new grass has been mowed three or four times.
